KUCHING, 24 September 2026 – The Sarawak Syariah Judiciary Department (JKSS) received a delegation of 16 representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak (MIPD) for a benchmarking visit regarding the Sarawak State Public Service Quality Award (AKPANS).

The MIPD delegation was led by Yang Berusaha Tuan Haji Latiff bin Coupon, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MIPD. This visit served as a platform for sharing JKSS's experiences and best practices in the implementation and preparations that contributed to the Department's success in achieving the AKPANS recognition.

The sharing session was presented by Tuan Muhammad Nuur Iman bin Suip, Registrar of the Sarawak Syariah Court of Appeal, who touched upon several key aspects of JKSS's journey toward obtaining AKPANS. This included existing practices, preparations before and during the evaluation, as well as continuous improvement efforts and the cultivation of a quality culture post-AKPANS.

The program continued with a site visit to the Sarawak Syariah High Court, including the JKSS One Facilitation Centre (OFC), to provide closer exposure to the facilities and service delivery approaches implemented by JKSS.

It is hoped that this visit will strengthen the exchange of knowledge and strategic relations between JKSS and MIPD, while supporting the ongoing efforts of both agencies to foster excellence and enhance the quality of public service delivery.
